For those of you who want to enhance your understanding of Binocular vision (i.e. seeing with two eyes and depth perception), I found an interesting set of lecture notes from the Souther California College of Optometry exam resources web site.    Who knows?  Maybe I will have the equivalent of a degree in optometry by the time I finish with all of this.

    Hi,

We were wondering if you could include http://www.healthline.com/health/bipolar-disorder as a resource on http://journeythroughthecortex.blogspot.in/

Healthline provides a very comprehensive overview of bipolar disorder as a critical starting point for individuals and/or their loved ones.

    For more information, visit: http://www.healthline.com/health/bipolar-disorder

Also, Healthline just launched a photo contest "What Does Happiness Look like to You": http://www.healthline.com/health/depression/pinterest-contest We encourage you to share the contest with friends, family & anyone you believe would be interested in participating.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

    Warm Regards,

    Tracy

    1. Great minds think alike! I have been thinking about writing a post that specifically talks about the differential diagnosis of bipolar disorder and neurological problems.

Also, if you look in my blog there is a post about how contrast sensitivity in the eyes has a very high correlation to depression. An eye doctor can perform a test for contrast sensitivity that is a very good predictor for depression. I will have to check the study and see if what type of depression that test correlates to.
